YENAvoca Consulting Engineers (Avoca) are aspiring to help the next generation of engineers with sponsorship for one of their young engineers to attend a global industry conference in the Middle East.

Avoca take pride in their ability to develop their employees, supporting and encouraging them to achieve their academic and professional goals.  With this ethos they are thrilled to be offering sponsorship to their very own, home-grown Mechanical Engineer, Abbie Naisbitt to attend The Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers (CIBSE) Young Engineer’s Network (YEN) Conference in Dubai this year.

The CIBSE Young Engineers Network is an international network of regional groups of young engineers in the CIBSE.  It is led by the Young Engineers and provides a forum for support and professional development.

As Chair of the North East Young Engineers, Abbie, has been personally invited to take part in the visit, which will include four days of technical visits and seminars and briefings on the building services challenges in the Gulf Region.

The Global Conference has an excellent programme and anticipates over 30 YEN from around the world will participate, representing the best of the industry

Managing Director Mark Hooper said; “We are delighted to grant sponsorship support to Abbie in her invitation to such a prestigious industry conference.  This is an outstanding professional development opportunity for her and for YEN and one not to be missed."

Young Engineer Abbie Naisbitt expressed her appreciation saying; “I’m really grateful to Mark and the company for helping me develop as an engineer by giving me the opportunity to attend such a great event. This event will give me a great platform to network with other young engineers from around the world and also experience the engineering challenges faced within other parts of the globe.”

“As an engineer, it is imperative to keep abreast of the latest devices, tools, and development techniques.  Abbie is extremely proactive in thirst for engineering knowledge, proving to be a talented and valued engineer and we look forward to hearing all about her experiences in the Middle East.”
